This spring has been beautiful, as evidenced by the photo above, taken in a field in Georgia about two weeks ago. Look how green everything is already and how blue the sky.
This weekend was supposed to be hot and dry but turned out to be kind of cool and clammy. In the last hour, though, the sun has finally broken through and dispersed the grayness of the past day and a half. Easter should be amazing--warm and ablaze in lilies, irises, a few azaleas still, phlox, lenten roses,and on and on.
Surely, some people will complain of the heat--upper 80's tomorrow if the clouds stay away--but not me. I love summer and relish even the heat. That and the oak trees and pecans are what I love about the South.
