By the way, I dropped by Dog Ear Books, in Athens, Ga, last Saturday to attend Julie Cannon's book signing. Dog Ear is an independent book store that has moved to Athens from Madison, Ga. I love it! I like the fact that it has both new and used books and that it seems to go on forever. It's much larger than it looks from the outside because the building goes all the way back to the street behind Clayton (Dog Ear's address is 162 W. Clayton St.). It has several rooms, so you feel as if you are constantly discovering something new.
The owner is Jonathan Tonge. He said he'll eventually sell coffee. He's great about promoting local authors, so I hope you'll all drop in as well and say hello to John.
